Disliked: Food wasn't the best but still filling.

Our room was definitely not up to par. We were not informed of the renovations, when we made our reservations. The carpet was bumpy and ripping in areas of our room and the cleanliness was not very comfortable. The overall smell was not fresh. Thankfully we were not in our room much of our stay. I would not recommend your place and would hope some type of compensation could be made to show customer appreciation.

Liked: Close to attractions and continental breakfast.
Disliked: Major renovation was taking place and I was not informed.

Liked: The staff was wonderful. Very polite and helpful. Grateful for the included breakfast which was very good and a good variety.
Disliked: We are on the shorter side. The beds were too tall, and with leg and back issues, hard to get into bed. The beds were comfortable, however. I could not reach the shower head to adjust it. The tub was slippery for showering, the hotel did not offer a rubber shower mat. We prefer bar soap, but understand why the hotel does not offer them anymore. The fragrance of the liquid soaps was too strong for our taste.

Liked:  18 hours agoPicking up our granddaughter from the University of Pittsburgh stayed at Holiday Express. Very clean room as well as the general areas. Breakfast was nice. Many items to pick from. The kitchen staff was friendly and very engaging. Making sure we were all happy. The pool and gym were top-notch. The hotel sits in the middle to anywhere you would like to go if you have a car.
Disliked: . My only complaints were, when asking recommendations for places to go and see the young man behind the counter, told us the Mall. Sorry, but I can go to malls in my neck of the woods. And the room staff did not refill our coffee and cups . Yet we were pleasantly surprised our room was serviced considering since Covid room servicing had come to a near halt.
