If you want a quick visit for a conference etc. then the hotel is great. It has everything you would want, including a little lounge area to read papers etc. This is not a five star hotel for holidays, but for short stays it was great.

Liked: The best bits of the stay were (a) the kindness of the staff (b) the accommodation and (c) the abundance of tea!

It was a great location...

Liked: The breakfast was good and the room was clean. The location was excellent.
Disliked: The pillows were hard as a rock. As a reward member I saw (on a card in our room) we could request a feather pillow. I spoke to the person at the desk and first she said there might not be any more available but came down to our room and said we would have one by noon. That never happened. I spoke to the evening desk receptionist and he told me he would take care of it but it never happened.

Nice hotel, let down by...

Liked: Location was good, room was comfortable though quite cold when we arrived, no heating in bathroom so had to leave the door open to warm up.Despite there appearing to be a high number of guests, the hotel was quiet and undisturbed overnight.
Disliked: Staff were slow to appear for check in and check out. We were on a tight timeframe and this caused frustratio.Sign on bain marie at breakfast indicating it contained scambled eggs so made toast in readiness, only to find it contained hash browns and no eggs available.

Liked: I really enjoyed staying here. The staff were friendly and welcoming. My room was cosy snd the bed was so comfortable. I was really pleased with everything and I would go back.
