Holiday Inn Express Nuneaton

Stayed one night Friday 26th May. Very surprised at how reasonable the rates were. Very clean. Very pleasant staff. Great breakfast. Room good size - no complaints at all!

Liked: Very clean room; big bed; all good!
Disliked: Could not get back into our room once we’d left so had to go back to reception to get the card re-activated. Slightly annoying!

Great hotel and excellent value; easy to access and plenty of parking; ideal when visiting an exhibition or event at Ricoh Arena.

Liked: Great welcome; clean hotel; breakfast is ideal and staff were very helpful.
Disliked: I would prefer a brighter light in the bedroom to read by. Also when you try and sit up in bed the bed moves away from the wall and you have to get out and wedge the wheel with a towel!

Disliked: On booking the hotel, i was expecting a twin room as we are two ex hairy arse Army veterans who were attending an Army reunion, anyway when we arrived the receptionist told us that we had booked a standard double room and not a twin room, she did tell me i had requested a twin room but none where available so after a while I accepted this, but then I asked if we could have some extra pillows to which she replied straight away, no we don't have any spare which I thought very strange then I asked if we could get a spare duvet as one of us would sleep on the floor and again she didn't hesitate and said again , no we have no spare ones which again I thought very strange, so in the end I said to my pal that I would sleep on the floor as I made the booking and even though I'm disabled she couldn't be bothered. On the room itself, there was no AC and it was stifling hot, the floor in the shower looked like it hadn't been cleaned in 6 months and the toilet backed up also, if it wasn't for the fact we couldn't book anywhere else because of Silverstone we would of been out of that hell hole like a bullet.
