Holiday Inn Express Manhattan Midtown West

Even though my stay was short, I had a wonderful stay. I really enjoyed myself. The staff was really helpful and pleasant. I will definitely come again to stay and recommend anybody to book a room :)

Disliked: Breakfast even at 6:30 was overcrowded. Non-plastic utensils would be an improvement

Liked: It was convenient for getting to the ship. There was nothing else positive to say
Disliked: Where do I start. We arrived at 1:30am after our flight was delayed only to be given the "last room available" which was in the basement. Loosely described as a room, it was more like a cupboard. It was damp, the toilet was leaking and the window looked out onto trash.The staff disinterest in moving us was clear however, after much heated discussion, they reluctantly moved us to the top floor. A better room and thankfully only for one more night. Breakfast was like a "feeding frenzy". All in all, the area is known as "Hell's Kitchen" - it was certainly hell!!

Disliked: Hello AllDespite the high amount we paid, we believe the room we were given was absolutely not worth the price. We are having a hard time understanding why such a room was assigned to us in the first place — it simply should not have been. Even though our stay was short, the service should still reflect the value of the payment made. We wanted to express our dissatisfaction regarding this issue. Thank you for your attention.Br

Liked: Location, quite central but dodgy neighbourhood
Disliked: The lift was a nightmare, it took 15mins to get from 11th floor to ground floor in the morning and it was packed! Seriously, that was a big problem with one of the lifts not working.The breakfast was so busy, people were jumping lines to get a table and a bagel. There weren’t lots of choices but that was fine, it’s just that they were running out of things and was taking some time to refill. They had provided an extra room to eat but was small with no windows.Staff were changing towels everyday but the general feeling was that the room was not that clean in particular the carpet, the walls, and the bathroom.Value for money was not great either, NYC is overpriced but still it was on the pricey side for what it offers.

Disliked: It was run down Standards were lowOne of the lifts did not work until day or soAsked to change the room no bath tub as promised Breakfast was awful not much choice no space for guests it felt like shelter for homeless or school canteen with plastic cutlery. Rooms were too small . I expected a bit of luxury and I was badly let down . It’s totally outdated establishment . This trip was for my special birthday . Spoke to some other guests and they felt the same .

Disliked: Only one elevator working and it took too long to arrive so took stairs instead, tiny bathroom with difficult faucet, some kind of netting flapping around the outside of the very dirty window.
