Liked: Room, staff, food.
Disliked: Taking the money for the room before we'd checked in.

Not recommended. I was very disappointed with a few things? Firstly there was only one towel between us so had to ask for more; second, the shower holder was broken so we had to hold the shower up whilst showering.

Disliked: One towel for 2 people. Shower head support broken.

Perfect location for attending gigs at New Century Hall; hotel was clean and very comfortable; the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Liked: Spacious, modern room; comfy bed; fab shower.
Disliked: There was a musty smell in the corridors.

Liked: Location great- near to oublic transport. City center on walking distance.Room and bathroom were clean.
Disliked: At the breakfast,Dispenser pressure to pour for juices and water was so slow that u have to wait like a min if i m not not overstating. Otherwise breakfast was fresh. No disposable cups for coffee in case u have to leave early and cant grab coffee on the go.

Disappointing

Liked: It's in a great location and some staff are really nice. The complimentary financial times was nice and it was great value for money given the location and bathroom quality. When we left at 4.30am one of the reception staff offered to give us some food for our four year old, which was a lovely touch. But we didn't like the breakfast so declined.
Disliked: The breakfast buffet plates and mugs were dirty. I looked at lots of them trying to find ones that didn't have stains or small encrusted bits of old food on the top and/or bottom. The dishwasher is not running hot enough, maybe to save energy, or simply isn't working well enough, so I ended up washing our plates in the gents toilet myself. I mentioned it to a member of staff and he took a few through to wash them in the kitchen. I get it's cheap but dirty plates and mugs just immediately put you off the food. The sausages were also really low quality.

Liked: The location for me was perfect (Although I'm sure it's relative ) The staff were present and friendly and the bed was comfy .
Disliked: The room wasn't entirely clean (I didn't mention it , maybe I should ) but there was a half eaten biscuit under the bedside unit ...it happens I guess And the green fire ext sign had fallen from it's mountings and was hanging down at eye lever...this was fixed but even the repair looks a tad Heath Robinson .

We enjoyed our stay and...

Liked: Breakfast was good, however it was poorly managed in terms of it was the wild west where guests sat. You had situations where there were no seats for 3 of us or 4 with 2 seaters available but 3/4 seaters taken up by one person or 2 people. The only 2 improvements I'd suggest is have one member of staff seat people so that larger tables are being effectively utilised. Also, the tables were never clean and only cleaned when we asked. Again, managing assigning seats would allow staff see when people are finished and give the staff the opportunity and time to clear and clean tables before others sat down at them. There was no organisation all staff were just all over the place doing everything. Staff should be assigned areas of responsibility and primarily focus on that.
Disliked: Tea and milks etc. in room should be replenished daily. No biscuits or anything in room with tea. No bottled water in rooms. Also, staff organisation and management at breakfast needs much improvement - small changes would make huge impact to guest experience at breakfast. Buffet breakfast works great but seat assignment and cleaning and staff responsibility for specific tasks and areas should be divided to help staff and make guest experience smoother.
