Why Concert-goers love it

Being just 1969 feet from Manchester Arena, you can stroll to your gig in minutes—no taxis or complicated transit needed. The hotel’s soundproofed, air-conditioned rooms offer a peaceful retreat when you’re ready to crash after the show. Plus, the 24-hour front desk makes late-night check-ins and returns a breeze.

Food and Drink Options

After a late night, you’ll appreciate the hotel's all-you-can-eat continental breakfast (with bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, and baked beans) served daily. The contemporary bar serves light snacks and drinks if you're feeling peckish after the show. Plus, being in the Northern Quarter means you're steps from endless restaurants and late-night eateries.

What People Say

Guests love the prime location for concerts, the friendly staff, and the clean, comfortable rooms. Many reviewers rave about the great value for money and appreciate the easy access to both the arena and Manchester’s shopping and nightlife scenes.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention that the breakfast area can get a little crowded during peak times, especially on big concert nights. A few also note that while the rooms are modern, they’re more functional than luxurious—perfect if you’re here to see a show, not lounge all day.

Nicky M, Ferndown, visiting AO Arena Mon, 25 September 2023

Not recommended. I was very disappointed with a few things? Firstly there was only one towel between us so had to ask for more; second, the shower holder was broken so we had to hold the shower up whilst showering.

Disliked: One towel for 2 people. Shower head support broken.

Great hotel, perfect location for...

Liked: Clean and tidy, great location for the festival we were going too, we thought it was going to be really loud and busy as there with lots of people obviously there for Parklife but didn't hear any of the other residence at all. Managed to book us in early, really lovely friendly staff gave us some great travel advice really helpful.
Disliked: Breakfast was quite undercooked on the first morning we stayed for two nights the hotel was very busy and I think everyone came for breakfast at the same time hungover after Parklife. It meant the food was rushed out and everything needed a little longer in the oven. The second day the breakfast was 100% better.

4 night stay.

Liked: Walking distance to St Peter's Square. There are quite a few restaurants nearby and a good cleanliness standard.
Disliked: I would suggest a more diverse breakfast menu. Although the breakfast was nice, it was served exactly the same food during my four night stay.

Wouldn’t stay again.

Liked: The location.
Disliked: The room smelt, The bed was uncomfortable after seeing the sign to change the softness as I could feel the springs in the mattress I changed it to the firm side which was even worse so we flipped it back the bed was terrible. The lamp shade was dirty and was leaning to the side. The walls was chipped. As for the breakfast there was not much hot options for myself to eat as I do not eat meat.
