Very helpful receptionist. Windows that...

Liked: Very helpful staff. The person on reception was able to move us when we discovered the room we'd been given hadn't, possibly, been cleaned fully. (See below)
Disliked: The room we were first given hadn't, possibly, been cleaned fully. It smelt of socks and beer. And, just outside the door, was an empty pint glass in an ice bucket, which I think they meant to take away when they were cleaning but had missed. The person on reception was very helpful and moved us instantly to another room (on a higher floor, so it felt a bit like an upgrade. It didn't smell, which was good).NB: The windows don't open (yes, it's one of those), which means if you have a smell in your room, you're stuck with it, no chance of letting fresh air in on the situation. The air con works, which is good. But not the same as real air, I'm sure you'll agree.

Brilliant

Liked: Everything about this Holiday Inn was brilliant never stayed in one before, but they will be the first ones I look at in future, room comfy spacious, beds comfortable, breakfast well cooked and tasty,
Disliked: Can not fault anything

Staff were amazing and friendly....

Liked: Just far enough out the way that you weren’t in the hustle and bustle of Liverpool. Not noise in the evenings. My room was on the main road but this didn’t matter as the noise was limited
Disliked: Sometime breakfast was a bit slow to be topped up. One day I went without beans as the rest of my food was getting cold. Took about 10 mins for them to come out

Liked: Location and sound proofing of all the rooms. It was very comfortable and although on a main Road there was zero noise.
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: pleasant staff, good breakfast, great location in the middle of all the action, bars and restaurants in close proximity. great deal on car park 5 mins away with discount £7-50 for 24 hrs parkbee car park .
Disliked: it was fine .

comfortable for one night location...

Disliked: Paid extra to get a room on the top floor expectations were to get a view not just looking at a brick wall, you should make guests aware of this when booking.
