Holiday Inn Express Lichfield

Quick over night stay. Great...

Liked: The hotel staff were outstanding. Went above and beyond to help with things. For example our dog was spooked by the noisy road the hotel is on.. so gave me details and post code of near by spacious park. This kindness meant a great deal. The hotel & rooms are spotlessly clean. The breakfast was hot, fresh and easily the best we have had in a Holiday Inn Express. Congratulations to this hard working team!
Disliked: The location of the hotel was about 2 miles from Litchfield & on an industrial estate.. with nothing to do. But in fairness to them the price point probably reflects this issue. The surrounding roads are noisey.. but it you only want a bed for the night it is great.

Nothing special, would look elsewhere...

Liked: Breakfast was nice
Disliked: Rude staff, one in particular with a snotty attitude. Poo marks in the toilet when we got there. Room key didn’t work.

Friendly and welcoming, great stay!

Liked: We enjoyed a one night stay in this very clean and comfortable hotel. Our room was spotless and was ideal for our young family. The staff were wonderful and took time to speak with our two young boys, we had travelled from Scotland to visit Thomas Land at Drayton Manor and stayed here the night before visiting the park. It was convenient to get to and was ideally placed for a relaxing journey to Drayton Manor. The breakfast was good, nice and hot and there was plenty of choice. We would definitely consider staying at this hotel in the future due to its location, cleanliness and great service. Thanks.

No air conditioning on one...

Liked: It was clean
Disliked: Ive stayed at this hotel for many years, and I felt the reception staff were not as welcoming as usual. The tea making facilities only had 2 teabags and 4 milk, how is 2 teabags enough and I know I could have got more but I didn't want to have to walk down from 3rd floor to reception to ask for more when I had just had a shower! Can you not put at least 4 tea bags in the room? The water pressure was awful, the shower was limp, my garden hose has more pressure. It made showering not easy, the water pressure in the tap was just as bad. The worse part was the lack of air conditioning, it was 28 degrees and the room was so hot, there was a small fan in the room but it was so noisy and having the window open was just as noisy and not effective. It was probably the worst night's sleep for a very long time. I'm shocked that the hotel does not have any air conditioning at all.

Disliked: Air Con would have been nice on the hottest day of the year!
