Woke up the next morning...

Liked: I did not have breakfast but have had it there at another time and I found it well stocked and many choices. Left early and meeting family in the area for breakfast that morning before traveling home.
Disliked: I have nothing negative to report. Wish I could have purchased the pillows because they were the most comfortable ones I have ever slept on. Would love to know where I can purchase them!

Liked: The potato chips were outdated, the cinnamon rolls were cold in the middle and no microwave oven. I'm just being very picky. The breakfast was fine. The desk ladies were exceptional. Will be staying there every time we return to Lawrence.
Disliked: Nothing. Absolutely no complaints

Donna Mulford, the Manager, is...

Liked: I showed up very emotional as my dad was in hospice but had been doing well so decided to make the trip to Kansas for parents weekend. When I arrived I was told my room had been canceled and I burst into tears (like I said I was emotional because of my dad). Long story but Donna Mulford the manager at the property showed compassion and kindness and said they'd find me a room She went with another employee and went and cleaned the room. I cannot thank her enough. She was absolutely amazing. You have an incredible staff at this property and Holiday Inn should be proud. Donna Mulford was so nice to me when she could have just told me my room was canceled and that was it. My dad, unfortunately, passed away the second night of my stay so things didn't go as planned but as long as I am going to KU to visit my college son, I will always stay at the Holiday Inn. Thank you Donna.
Disliked: I prepaid with a third party (booking.com) and my total for the weekend was $400. Unfortunately, since the room was canceled I ended up paying directly to the hotel $747 for 2 nights in lawrence, Kansas. It was parents weekend so busy and hotels were booked so I was out of options (and honestly too emotionally drained to care at the time). Disappointed in the cost of the room but it is what it is.

Great place to stay in...

Liked: Stayed here for a few nights to help my son move in for college. Great location (right by Target and Walmart) and very easy to get to. Staff was wonderful, room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. AC worked great (convenient for the 100* days) and breakfast was good.
Disliked: The tub had some peeling and the TV cable wasn't working. Only a few channels would come through. But we weren't there for TV, so not a big deal. :)
