Liked: Close to the venue. Clean room and a kick ass 24 hour taco shop right next door.

Hotel desk employee was very nice but that's about it. Would love a makeover on this one. Not worth the $$$.

Disliked: Would not stay there again. The bar was ridiculous - bar tender did not want to be there. No selection - said they were doing inventory.

Liked: I like the location
Disliked: I wanted to bring to your attention my recent stay at Holiday Inn in La Mesa. Unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The bed was uncomfortable, there were bed bugs present, the air conditioning was not functioning properly, and the carpet in the room was old and emitted a foul odor. As a result, I was unable to get a good night's rest.I recommend addressing these issues to ensure a more pleasant stay for future guests.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Liked: Concierge was great. Breakfast was great was great..
Disliked: The power went out, and my fiancé had to literally instruct the manager how to handle the situation. He had no idea what he was doing.

Disliked: $20 to park for the night? Given the pricing of the rooms, that should be included. With this set-up, a more expensive hotel with free parking would have been the better choice

Liked: Good location, room was clean and comfortable
Disliked: If you drive, be aware that they charge you a $20/day "public" parking fee (nevermind you're a paying patron staying at the hotel). They say it's disclosed on their website, and in their booking.com listing, but it's not up front and center.Instead of just wrapping this fee into their nightly rate, they charge it separately to make them more competitive. Not unusual for San Diego lodging, but always dig deep to find out the true cost of your stay, no matter where it may be.

Liked: The hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
Disliked: We were not told ahead of time that the pool was down for maintenance. Had I known before hand I would have cancelled and stayed elsewhere. I was very disappointed!

Disliked: Paid extra for a “family suite” but apparently this doesn’t exist at this property. Room smelled of pot despite non smoking signs.
