I cancelled the 2nd and...
Liked: My actual room was very clean with comfortable beds, clean carpet and zero smells. Morning kitchen host was super friendly.
Disliked: The location was sketchy at best. Burned out apartment building next door. Front desk clerk recommended I not leave the hotel for dinner. The lobby smelled awful. Overwhelming smell of marijuana, dirty people (BO) even though I was the only one in lobby. Sitting area smelled of pine scented vomit. Elevator smelled of pot as well.

Super comfortable, nice, and peaceful.
Liked: I love the fact that my room was ready and I was able to do an early check-in from my long drive. Breakfast was great and nicely seasoned. The hotel was peaceful, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff was awesome, and I would definitely stay again.
Disliked: There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Disliked: They have deducted money from my card twice since I left. I only stayed one night and they have made different extra charges without my authorization and I call and they do not provide me with any solution

it was a quick stop...
Liked: A good selection of items for the breakfast which was perfect as we just needed something quick/easy. lovely yoghurts!
Disliked: paper plates and plastic knives and forks. Also lack of recycling facilities for such waste. This is a real travesty. Not so keen on the french toast but likely a personal preference.

Holiday Inn Express Sucks and...
Liked: The bed was OK.Nothing else.
Disliked: Where do I begin. We chose this location because its website said there was a pool. When we got there, NO pool. I had kids and they were very disappointed.The guy at the front desk blamed it on the website. If I wasn't so tired, I would have packed up my family and gone somewhere else. The lights in the room didn't work. The front desk was not helpful with explaining why they didn't work. He basically said that if you push the button and it doesn't come on, then it's not going to???? Really? Breakfast in the morning didn't have any meat. They considered biscuits and gravy the meat??? Worst meal I had. What makes matters worse is that during check-in, the guy at the front desk signed me up for your awards program. If this is how you treat your guests, then you can take your awards program and shove it because I won't be back

Superb
Liked: Shuttle pickup to the airport, hot breakfast ready at 3:30 am.
Disliked: The pool unfortunately wasn’t open at the time of our stay.

Amazing staff but whats w/...
Liked: I absolutely love the staff and find the hotel to be very comfortable. The customer service is tremendous and genuinely caring. The staff is phenomenal and very welcoming, including the drivers provided for arrival and departure from STL airport.
Disliked: My only negative feedback is regarding the shuttle vehicle provided for staff and patrons. The condition of the vehicle was concerning. I couldn't tell if I was being kidnapped or if I was inadvertently on an episode of "Bang Bus" when I hopped in (sorry for the crude reference but I feel this really drives my point home). It was very uncomfortable and unpleasant, I recommend just getting an Uber tbh.
