So far below Holiday Inn's...

Liked: Just horrible. What's happened to IHG. Hilton is just killing them, and IHG is just going down hill. Sad for a once good brand. Problems? Promised the family adjoining rooms months ago. On arrival: "Sorry, we can't accommodate you." Us - "But we personally called reservations and we were assured." "Yeah, our reservation system doesn't really know our policies. They tell you that to get you to book. (That sounds like fraud, doesn't it?) We go back and forth with the front desk person and finally start to get angry, and the poor young woman at the desk comes back in a few minutes with, "I have been able to accommodate you." Us - "But.wait, you firmly told us you can't accommodate us. So the truth is, if we get angry enough, you can accommodate us. But you start out by lying to us."
Disliked: See above. Plus, you have a TV in your room and you charge $200-$400 a night... but you don't offer ESPN. ESPN is the most basic cable offering for a reason. This happened a couple of weeks ago at another Holiday Inn. I F seems clear that you don't know how to negotiate a corporate-wide deal with cable channel providers. The solution is not to offer poor service to your customers. The solution is to hire better people who know how to negotiate. You're in danger of descending to Super 8 status. Anyone in business would tell you that you shouldn't waste your brand name away. Work harder. You can do it.

Nice stay and good location.

Liked: I loved the location and easy access to restuarants and highway. The hotel is older but well maintained and very clean. Front desk staff was great. Very personable and caring. Helped everyone just the same way. Went above and beyond by pointing out places to go for dinner for the guest in front of us even. Breakfast was nothing special, but good, fast, and hot. That's really about all you need for getting going back on the road or visiting the area. Parking lot was easy to get in and out of the hotel for loading and unloading with multiple points of entry.
Disliked: It is a unfancy older hotel. But very functional and clean. No frills isn't always a bad thing! The pet area is a very, very small area on the other side of the main parking lot and a bit of a walk to get to it if you leave from the wrong door. The very back could be made into a grass area for more space. Bigger dogs need more area to roam before going.
