Very pleasant, with a few...

Liked: The room was very clean, and the front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The location of this hotel was perfect - directly next to the Childress Vineyards, and only a few minutes away from downtown Lexington, as well as the other wineries we visited.
Disliked: The room key card failed to work several times, prompting a return to the front desk each time. I believe that the issue was the door card reader, not the card itself. The blackout curtain was manual - not that there was a cord to pull, but I had to manually unroll the curtain by hand. This is not a big deal, truly, but there was a switch on the wall for the blackout curtain and the sheer curtain, which I figured was to raise and lower the curtains. It didn't work, which then left me confused as to how the curtain actually worked. This led to a text message to the front desk - because the phone line was always busy and I could not speak with anyone directly from the phone line. The key card issue was the most frustrating, with the curtain and inability to speak with the front desk directly being pretty minor concerns. So overall, this was a pleasant stay, but with a few minor bumps in the road. I think it was just surprising as I had never experienced these types of issues in any other hotel at which I have ever stayed.

Liked: The scenery and land round it, that it was family friendly.
Disliked: The toilet would run longer than usual, but the staff was quick to address it.

Hotel is fine - needs...

Liked: The room and amenities were fine. We saw two different staff members at the front desk (one at check in, one at check out). Both of them were super grumpy and not happy to be at their job.
Disliked: Unfriendly staff
