Clean and comfortable
Liked: The bed was incredibly comfortable! Newly painted room. Everything was very clean and the staff were friendly, even at 1 am when we were checking in. Very easy to find right off the freeway.
Disliked: The coffee maker didn’t work.

Good, but the price, just...

Great pitential — needs new...
Liked: We were looking for a two-bed room close to Marlboro.
Disliked: There was a sign in the lobby apologizing for the appearance of the hotel during renovations — but it didn’t look or feel like renovations were ongoing. The hotel was dirty and smelled musty. There were dehumidifiers in the hallway. The bathroom door in room 224 wouldn’t open from the inside — so everyone who went inside got stuck.

Nice quiet stay with friendly...
Liked: Staff was nice and the place was clean quite and peaceful.
Disliked: They was doing some remodeling but you couldn’t tell other than dumpster in parking lots

Will not go back
Liked: The staff working the night we checked in was amazing - he went above and beyond to help us find a room suitable after I indicated I would NOT stay in initial room given. Room was mid Reno, missing floor trim, outlet covers and had window wide open with AC on so was very “damp” . I’m from SE TN and know humid- this was gross damp
Disliked: Condition of rooms, stairway mid Reno, grounds unkept, did not even try to eat breakfast- so no opinion on that. They had dehumidifiers thought on each floor- but were not timely in emptying them, we did that for them on our floor each night we came back to room. Smell, humidity and for being in a more completed Reno room- lamp shades stained, window shade was dirty and LED mirror in bathroom flickered on day 3 like a strobe light.

Disappointed
Liked: The location was excellent as it was across the road from a huge shopping plaza. The room was pretty, and the lobby and facilities were all just being renovated. The staff was friendly, especially the cleaners and the morning breakfast area attendant.
Disliked: The smell of paint was so overwhelming that I could not sleep. I had to keep going to the bathroom to breathe better air! The bathtub faucet did not work, and the shower head only trickled out water. After a 4 hour drive, a birthday celebration we attended, all we wanted was to get a decent night's rest. It was very late when we checked in, and by the time I realized the shower wasn't working well, I was too exhausted to even ask to be relocated. The worst was my husband saw 3 roaches in the bathroom. We packed up and told the front desk. I left an email to the company but have not heard back from anyone. I am extremely disappointed as I love holiday inn expresses! I usually book with them because of the value and cleanliness. We paid $211 for 1 night and it was definitely not worth it.

Very good
Liked: The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly.
Disliked: I am a type 2 diabetic. Now I realize the breakfast is complimentary, however there were no options that were sugar free. I was unable to have anything other than coffee and an apple for breakfast. I wish hotels would address this issue.

Liked: I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the stay at your hotel from Saturday, May 3rd to Sunday, May 4th, 2025. My experience was extremely distressing and not at all what I had expected from your establishment.At approximately 12:00 AM on May 4th, the fire alarm went off, forcing me to evacuate the hotel with my two minor children. We were outside in the cold and rain for a total of 39 minutes while awaiting further instructions. Fire officials responded and cleared the hotel, assuring guests it was safe to return. However, only a few hours later, at around 3:00 AM, the fire alarm went off again, causing further disruption and distress.This experience was highly uncomfortable, inconvenient, and concerning, especially as I had to ensure the safety and well-being of my children during this incident. I would appreciate a response regarding how this situation will be addressed and whether any compensation or remedies will be offered to make up for the distress caused during our stay.I look forward to your prompt response.Sincerely, Karina Herrera
