Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Banning

We just had a bad experience at check in; our room was OK but to be honest, nobody likes to be treated with attitude right when you're about to check in - makes you not want to stay there ever again.

Liked: Our bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Disliked: The girl that checked us in (don't know her name but she's pregnant) had really bad customer service plus she gave us keys to a room that already had people in it. It was very embarrassing going up to the 3rd floor and trying and trying and trying to open the door only for a guest to open the door, who I'm pretty sure we woke up because it was really late at night - they asked us what our problem was and closed the door on our faces. This was my first bad experience in a hotel ever. Please talk to that girl in check in.

Was a loyal customer, probably...

Liked: The staff was generally friendly, particularly the night staff when we checked in. My kids like the breakfast, and we have stayed here three times because of their fondness for this particular hotel.
Disliked: We woke up in the morning to no hot water. Staff acknowledged it, and when I requested a discount, she said she'd have to talk to management. No follow up came--I have messaged, called, and messaged the property again before leaving this negative review. We paid almost 300.00 for a single night to wake up in the morning and not have a basic amenity available to us.

Liked: The staff were friendly and very accommodating to our needs. The facility was clean and the rooms had a lot of space and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel. The provided breakfast had a lot of options and was good.
Disliked: My only complaint is that the air conditioner was not working properly in our room. It would come on for a few minutes and get it to a good temperature but then shut off and not come back on until the room was so stuffy I could not breathe or get comfortable.

Liked: Spacious, clean rooms with great amenities (long bench for suitcases, hooks for sweaters, purses, backpacks, etc.). Hot breakfast was good - especially the hot cinamon rolls! Loved the small raised shelf in bathroom.
Disliked: Virtually nothing. (just the typical hotel dings, like a chunk of wallpaper peeling or something, and the lobby restroom was in ill repair).

Liked: This is a nice property. We did not get to enjoy any of the amenities other than the breakfast, it was delicious. Not your typical continental breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

not happy for as much...

Liked: The pancake machine broke by our second day never did get fixed, cold hard cinnamon rolls. Coffee was horrible . Not into turkey sausage.
Disliked: The housekeeping , never but once in our four day stay, did she make the bed, never even wiped off the bathroom sink , no vacuuming or mopping of the floor. Only did a through when we requested it , was told they only do a good cleaning every three days, the pool was dirty and freezing cold , they claim a spa and pool ,supposably the pool is suppose to be the hot tub. Ice would of been warmer. For every question they had a answer, the place was filled every night we were there, but heating the pool is too exspenseive.
