Holiday Inn Express Gloucester

Very enjoyable.

Liked: Breakfast excellent,clean room excellent staff.
Disliked: No eggs on second morning.

Disliked: No AC and windows that can’t be fully opened was quite warm and stuffy in the summer.

I would have said fair...

Liked: Arrival and check-in went smoothly. Room was acceptable.
Disliked: In the morning, we discovered that the coffee machine wasn't working and hadn't been for two days. The staff made the excuse that they were waiting for someone to come and fix it, but this is not an acceptable reason for a large hotel. There should be two machines by default in case one does break down. We had looked forward to enjoying a nice coffee with breakfast, so this a major let down for my wife and I.

Adequate for our needs.

Liked: Breakfast was quite good but I would have liked flavoured yoghurt and grapefruit segments. Location was good for RIAT and visiting friends in Gloucester.
Disliked: I almost caught my hand when closing toilet door several times. I thought prices for evening meals was expensive and dining area was too much like a canteen. I did join the rewards club on a previous visit but although I had booked within time I think that I have lost my points even though I used the same email address.
