Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh - Royal Mile

Clean; good service from staff; room adequate; location good.

Disliked: Nothing, provided you can cope with the street life.

My husband and I have stayed in far better hotels and have only been charged £10/15 per night or whole visit for our dog. Would definitely not book a longer stay in the future - in fact, we will not return to Holiday Inn as a matter of principal. Charge cannot be justified even for cleaning of room. Very disappointed.

Liked: Room and breakfast were good. Completely spoiled by above.
Disliked: Only negative was the £25 charge for our dog. We only stayed one night!

Beautiful trip

Liked: The breakfast was very good each morning. The service was very good. Very good location in reference to Royal Mile and the castle. Overall, a good experience at this location.
Disliked: Long walk to the nearest tram station.

Good location but extremely overpriced

Liked: Coffee machine had good selection, cups small. no hot cereal selection The south cay alley great for travel to tourist areas
Disliked: Shower valves hard to figure out water trickled outbacking up . Lift was malfunctioning going up & down pressed button but keep going up . Hard to check out with suitcases if lift not working correctly

Liked: The staff was wonderful and the lobby area had a great dining option for snacks and drinks. The hotel was very conveniently located right off the royal mile.
Disliked: The room was very tiny and there wasn’t enough linens/pillows/towels for our group of 3

Liked: Breakfast was great - staff exceptionally helpful and friendly. Good location for access to the city centre
Disliked: Restaurant facilities would have been a bonus
