Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh - Royal Mile

Clean; good service from staff; room adequate; location good.

Disliked: Nothing, provided you can cope with the street life.

My husband and I have stayed in far better hotels and have only been charged £10/15 per night or whole visit for our dog. Would definitely not book a longer stay in the future - in fact, we will not return to Holiday Inn as a matter of principal. Charge cannot be justified even for cleaning of room. Very disappointed.

Liked: Room and breakfast were good. Completely spoiled by above.
Disliked: Only negative was the £25 charge for our dog. We only stayed one night!

Liked: The location
Disliked: The quality of the bed mattress and billows were very very poor, it hurt my back. The cleaning of the room was not done properly.

Nice hotel in general but...

Liked: Breakfast was basic . But the location was excellent.Walking distance to all the attractions.
Disliked: Room size was a bit small. Tried to change, but all the rooms are the same size.

Disliked: Very, very poor lighting in the room, barely able to read.

Don’t stay at this hotel...

Liked: Nothing good except the location
Disliked: We were given an accessible room because we were a family. There was no shower cabinet and curtains were 50cm high from the floor. The whole bathroom was wet when we took a shower. The toilet flush hardly worked. The sinks were very low, you had to bend down to wash your face. And the whole wasn’t clean at all. Heating did not work either.
