Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh - Royal Mile

Clean; good service from staff; room adequate; location good.

Disliked: Nothing, provided you can cope with the street life.

My husband and I have stayed in far better hotels and have only been charged £10/15 per night or whole visit for our dog. Would definitely not book a longer stay in the future - in fact, we will not return to Holiday Inn as a matter of principal. Charge cannot be justified even for cleaning of room. Very disappointed.

Liked: Room and breakfast were good. Completely spoiled by above.
Disliked: Only negative was the £25 charge for our dog. We only stayed one night!

It was somewhat disappointing.

Liked: breakfast was reasonably good and the front desk staff was courteous.
Disliked: room was too small and dark so also the shower area was too cramped. lift was too slow to arrive specially in the mornings. Name of the hotel with Royal Mile is misleading. it is away from Royal Mile.

Liked: We were very satisfied with our stay at the hotel overall. First of all, all the staff were helpful and friendly. In particular, Ms. Birsen and the reception team went above and beyond to assist us with all our questions and found solutions with great dedication. During our stay in Edinburgh, we spent three days in the Highlands, and they kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at the hotel. When we returned, everything was smooth and easy. We can truly say this place felt like our home in Edinburgh.
Disliked: Cheese must be in the breakfast.

Great local, excellent staff, itty...

Liked: The staff is excellent, very helpful and caring. It is too bad their performance is overshadowed by the uncomfortable room accommodations.
Disliked: The size of the room is super tiny. Uncomfortably small and the price is LARGE!

Liked: Stayed in many hotels. 3× to 5× and the staff here couldn't be improved . Friendly and helpful. Great location.
Disliked: Zero to dislike.
