Liked: Nice location in Leith, close to the waterfront. Reasonable prices for Edinburgh. Public transportation just in front of the hotel. Nice breakfast selection.
Disliked: Nothing really....

Liked: We have stayed previously, so I knew car parking wouldn't be an issue. £10 voucher towards £20 24-hour fee for on-site parking. Hot breakfast is always welcome where you're travelling. As Holiday Inns are all the same, you know what to expect. Buses and trans close by, we didn't use any as this was purely an overnight stop travelling to the Highlands the following day. We found a pub for dinner only a 10 minute walk away.

Liked: Very nice. Great location to the tram but not good walking distance to town

Good

Liked: Breakfast was really good. The bar was good and the dinner/lunch was great too. The room was comfortable, if a bit small, and the staff did a great job cleaning it every day & tripping the tea/coffee supplies. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Surprised that the TV was not a Smart TV, and the screen quality/definition of the TV that was in the room was quite average Pizza selection was poor - only 3 options with no option to choose toppings was very limiting. Breakfast was really good but could have had a few more options (fried eggs, waffles, yogurt pots) and the apples were not good quality. This is a nice hotel with great staff and the room was nice, but a few critiques as above & ultimately don’t believe it was great value for money: cost was quite high but the hotel didn’t then match the expectations which the cost brought.

Liked: Close by city , 20mins of tram take us to city. Tram or bus boarding is close by property
Disliked: Price can be little less than what’s been charged

Liked: Proximity to tram. It was quiet, the location was great.
Disliked: Lifts were a little slow but not a big deal really.

A lovely stay

Liked: We enjoyed our stay. It was clean and perfect access to trams to get to city centre and Murrayfield stadium. Check out time was reasonable.
Disliked: Breakfast finished early at 10am, we were not told this we thought it was 11am finish. We went for breakfast at 9.45 and there was no hot food available will was disappointing.
