Breakfast and staff were lovely...
Liked: Breakfast was lovely, presented nicely each morning and the staff were very friendly.
Disliked: Room was very small for a family room , bathroom was tiny and difficult to use as a family of 4. Bathroom was scruffy , there were some hairs left over from the previous room occupant and the toilet seat didn't stay up. Pop up bed was uncomfortable and there wasn't much in the way of storage for clothing and belongings for a family room. The vents whistled all night long whether closed or open and the rooms heating/cooling system made random sounds even when turned off.

Good location for a city...
Liked: Good location 2 miles NW of the centre of Edinburgh. Walking (weather permitting) in 35-40 minutes, or a bus in 15-20 minutes. Adequate car parking. Quiet rooms and comfy beds. We stayed 4 nights which seemed just about right for visiting Edinburgh.
Disliked: Room heating did not work properly. Electric heater provided in the room; potential fire hasard. Old and dated bathrooms. Breakfast only until 9:30am (weekdays) or 10am (weekends). This could be extended a bit...even just and extra half an hour would make a difference. Big rush and crowd during that last 1/2 hour...
