Holiday Inn Express Dumfries By IHG

Rooms were more spacious than I expected and had both a fridge as well as a microwave. Overall a pleasant stay. I struggle to give 5-star ratings.

Liked: Very clean; very courteous and accommodating desk staff; free WiFi.

Liked: Very modern looking newly renovated everything. Room had microwave and mini fridge and most amenities in my room seemed relatively new and clean looking (413). Nice little gym and poolside was simple but clean and good size pool. They also allowed us a late check out which we were appreciative of. Breakfast is provided which was okay or a night or two.
Disliked: The only thing that needed upgrading in my room were the towels. There were a couple that were dingy and others that were fraying. The also forgot to put pillow covers on one of the beds I only noticed after lying back on them

Liked: TV did not work in the room. Tried to move us but then realized TV is outbin the hotel. Went two days with no TV. The staff apologized but nothing was done to compensate. Long weekend :(
