Excellent hotel and clean.

Disliked: Breakfast poor but understandable under circumstances.

Liked: As expected from a hotel in the Holiday Inn group. Clean room, good location. Breakfast was spot on. Good quality food and volume. nice choice of juices.
Disliked: The lifts were broken and had been for several days. I'm all for exercise, but lugging my luggage up the stairs was not a great way to end a 6hour drive and then the same before heading to the office the next morning. It wasn't horrendous and staff did check if I needed / wanted a room on the ground floor, but perhaps have a look at the contract with the lift company and move away from them. Doesn't stop the hotel being my go to when visiting Derby, just took the shine off it a touch

Liked: Nice clean rooms, extremely comfortable beds! And great showers! Really enjoyed the breakfast, there were lots to choose from
Disliked: Having to pay £24 for parking!!

Liked: Entrance way is very presentable clean and bright. The rooms are lovey and clean. Ideal location to be able to go into derby town centre, lovely pub across road if the menu didn’t take fancy. Brilliant
Disliked: Car park charges. When you’re paying almost £100 for a nights stay, car parking should be included in the price.

Disliked: Staff were miserable, felt like we were an inconvenience. Rooms were freezing cold, heating barely worked and was so noisy you couldn’t have it on when trying to sleep, water in the shower ran hot then cold, bed was like sleeping on a brick, didn’t dare ask reception for different pillows. Breakfast was basic and looked like it had been sat there for too long. Having to pay to park seems a bit of a joke. There’s a big gap under the front door to the room so all you can hear all night is other people, probably got an hours sleep maximum. Curtain blackout material was in such bad condition that it might as well not have been up. We couldn’t wait to get out.
