Holiday Inn Express Charleston-Civic Center

Liked: Friendly staff; clean; great breakfast.

Never again.

Disliked: Staff was preoccupied with houskeeping tasks while I was trying to check in and check out. Room lacked a microwave. Price was WAY out of line.

Love the Holiday Inn Express in Charleston. It was close and didn't have to move my vehicle for anything. I go there for Basketball State tournaments. We'll stay there again, just hated that my vehicle was hit in the parking lot.

Liked: Very clean and close to the Charleston Civil Center
Disliked: My truck got hit in the parking lot and the person didn't leave their name,number or address they just drove off.

Disliked: We had not checked out and when we came back to our room they were already cleaning it and wouldn't let us back into our room. They also wouldn't give a discount.

Liked: The location was perfect because we were directly across the street from the Civic Center and we’re able to use the hotel free parking and just walk across the street
Disliked: Our room was not cleaned properly. There was a tomato on the wall that no one had cleaned up from a previous day. The outer comforter was obviously not cleaned, and the facility seemed dingy. The staff while friendly did not seem to care about the issues. We were also woken up at 4 AM with extremely disruptive and intoxicated people running the hallway, cussing and screaming and banging on our door. Not the way we hoped to start a very early morning With two kids in the room.
