Comfortable room, good value for...

Ok hotel but air con...
Liked: Good location, room’s adequate size with everything needed for short stay.
Disliked: Air Con was appalling! Fan in room but served little purpose we weren’t the only ones complaining about this?!!

Apart from our first sleepless...
Liked: The second and third night we had a very nice, comfortable room. Staff were lovely, plenty of parking.
Disliked: Our first night was unbearable hot, no air conditioning, temperature in room was 32.5. Couldn't sleep. Only a small fan in room. Didn't help at all. Couldn't open the windows. We were on top floor. Following morning asked for room change as I suffer with asthma so found it hard to breathe. Also why did we pay £ 410 for 3 nights when it's advertised at £52 each night with free breakfast. This coming weekend is advertised as £313 for 3 nights, Friday to Monday. Something very wrong with the pricing structure. As I said our first night we couldn't sleep as they advertised air conditioning which we did not have. It was 32.5 in our room. So no, not happy booking. Com. As an asthmatic I struggled to breath. Ruined my day the following day at my sons wedding as I was so tired.

Liked: It was ok for its location and fulfilled our needs.
Disliked: Breakfast could have been better quality but ok have had better breakfasts at their other hotels. The hasn't regarding the parking charges.

Disappointing
Liked: The staff was friendly, good room service options but the rooms and facilities were a little dirty.
Disliked: I have been waiting over two weeks to resolve a payment issue. I pre-booked this hotel at a nightly rate of about £108 for 12 days totaling about £1270 including VAT. I checked out early to stay with friends and only stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. Which I was told was fine and would be refunded the difference - less any cancellation fee. They chose to ignore my pre-paid, pre booked price and changed the nightly rate to over £300 PER NIGHT. I have contacted booking.com and Holiday Inn several times to try and resolve this and the hotel is now choosing not to answer calls or respond to the numerous emails from booking.com. The lack of transparency and communication is quite disturbing. I have disputed this with my card company and compiled the necessary evidence but that process takes 30-60 days. Be careful when booking here.

Disliked: Staff lied about our booking and gave us an inferior room, after complaining they gave us the room we booked but that room had no air conditioning on the UKs hottest evening, 29.5 in the room. Didn't fix it.
