Disliked: This was my worst check-in experience at a hotel. After driving for 12 hours, my husband, our small children, and I were stuck at the front desk due to the unprofessionalism of the older woman on duty at reception. She demanded a $25 deposit three times, and although we paid with different cards, she kept saying that the system was declining all of our cards. She refused to give us the keys to our apartment even though it had already been paid for. The children and we were very tired, and we kept asking her to resolve the problem, but it took a very long time. We called the hotel’s hotline, but that didn’t help at all. It seems that this woman’s name was Tara. She kept interrupting the conversation, didn’t want to listen, and kept insisting she was right. All of this left a very negative impression of our stay.Fortunately, the hotel manager spoke to the receptionist over the phone — it turned out she had been charging the deposit incorrectly several times, and because of that, we were forced to go through so much stress. The security guard was polite and tried to help resolve the issue. Now we’ll see if all the money we paid multiple times will actually be refunded. It was just awful!!
