Property is in decline but...

Liked: The staff was helpful and moved us from our flooded floor room to a new room, quickly. The staff has the deck stacked against them, however, as the property is in decline. Typical of Holiday Inn Expresses.
Disliked: Our room was a king suite, and the carpet was wet leading into the bathroom and got my socks soaking wet. The room was also weird, with a huge open space with no furniture; it was probably two rooms to begin with and got remodeled but not furnished. We actually liked the standard king room better. This property shows a lot of wear and tear. We find that the Holiday Inn Express brand is in decline, overall.

Disliked: It’s clean but not clean if that makes sense. Water pressure in the shower was low.
