Disliked: The check in was slow and the parking garage was difficult to get in and out of.

Liked: The property itself was fine but the staff was not
Disliked: We arrived after flying in at 8AM it was my mistake for not knowing the check in time. I have never actually stayed anywhere that would not let anyone check in until 4 PM. We had two small children and it was our first time flying with them. We had been up since 2AM and I offered to pay to check in early and they would not let me. We were literally sleeping in the lobby and they would not let us check in until 4 PM. The lobby was packed with people waiting to check in luggage was everywhere you couldn’t move. They did not let a soul check in before 4 Pm even after we had asked 100 times. You can’t tell me from me arriving until 4 PM they didn’t have a single room I would’ve paid for it we were exhausted they did not care. It ruined our whole trip bc we were too tired to do anything during the day and once we got in the room to nap we didn’t want to do anything that evening. I would not recommend. The one girl up front was ugly and yelled at me when I asked about checking in early she said well I can’t let you bc I don’t have any rooms available what do you want me to do?

Liked: The room itself was clean and comfortable
Disliked: The hospitality and service was pretty much non existent after checking in. No luggage carts available for checking in or out, during our 3 day stay think I saw a cart once and they werent even the normal hotel luggage cart. Every morning had to wait for breakfast items to be refilled and this was always around the same time at 8:00 during the middle of breakfast hours think they would be better prepared. We were charged for 3 days of parking when we were only able to use it 1 day as had a transit van that would only fit in a couple spots in the parking garage and was only able to use the one night as someone else moved spots so we could have a spot that fit our van. After leaving that spot the first night was never able to find a spot again. Did talk to manager 1st for solutions and they were not very helpful other than you can park in handicap and if needed we will ask you to move which they were never open anyway. We were never told that if we can't use the parking garage to turn our pass in to not be charged. When checking out was told nothing they can do as we didn't turn in the parking pass. No manager to talk to and was told they were the one who checked us in. We were told that they don't have a posted schedule so wasn't able to tell us when they would be in. I asked for a corporate number and she gave me a card for the number of that hotel. Stayed in another Holiday Inn Express on the trip home and asked if there was a corporate number and the hotel clerk immediately wrote down a customer service number and handed it to me so feel like the one in Galveston was just being difficult and never once said I'm sorry for the inconvenience or that we weren't able to use the parking. I personally felt like she thought I was a nuisance or lying about the situation. As all she kept saying is there is nothing I can do but if she can hand me a bill and charge my card feel like she could have done more.

Willl never stay here again

Disliked: Everything! Staff is rude. Very rudeeeee!!! I wouldn’t advise anyone to deal with them! Not the room I booked I even called and confirmed my room at booking. My truck had people circling it trying to break into it! Room was above a dumpster and stunk and the heat from all the exhaust fans all made it unbearable to sit outside!
