Holiday Inn Dumfries

Good hotel; clean and comfortable. Great bed and shower, both really important to me. Staff were friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast was good and extensive with eggs cooked to order if requested. I would certainly go back and can strongly recommend it.

Liked: Fantastic stay! location, staff, food and hotel was great.
Disliked: On a very rare, hot and sunny Scottish day some sort of air conditioning in the upper floor would be beneficial. Didn’t overly affect our stay but could have slept better if the room temperature could be controlled :)

Exccellent venue and the food...

Liked: The Receptionist was very helpful and very cheerfull. The dining room staff were very helpful, however did seem pushed when the Ross County football team arrived and were very demanding!The front of house staff were amazing.
Disliked: Breakfast - cooked breakfast was luke warm sadly.

Disliked: Looked like a Hospital, too far away from pubs etc.

Disliked: unfortunately the hairdryer blew up on using - but a phone call later brought me a brand new one delivered within a short period of time.

Disliked: The room was extremely hot. The weather was warm while we were here and there is air conditioning however it didn’t work we even changed rooms and it made no difference. We roasted all night. If it’s a hot day I would not stay here.
