Holiday Inn Dubuque/Galena By IHG

The location was perfect for our concert trip; easy to find and just a very nice hotel. It was very nice having a restaurant and bar on site and if you wanted something different there is an abundance of choices all around it. We would definitely stay here again!

Liked: Everything about our visit was top notch.
Disliked: Nothing disappointed us.

Liked: Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was good ..... free parking was a nice option
Disliked: The 1st room we were given had not been cleaned even though the front desk staff checked with housekeeping.... the next room had food on the floor where it had not been vacuumed and our second room had food in the fridge from the last occupant. They did attempt to take care of these issues after I notified them.... they were fully booked all weekend that included a lot of kids making messes but these were basic housekeeping failures

Liked: I liked the grand lobby when you walk in but it’s a waste of space because no one used them.
Disliked: The swimming pool is too small. It’s the size of a backyard above ground pool that might fit 5 people comfortably. They should use some of the lobby space and create a bigger pool. Bedrooms are really small compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in. Everything is cramped in and they have a lot of unneeded furniture.

Liked: Parking garage attached to property. Surrounded by restaurants and activities. Close to the Illinois border so we went to Galena. Great staff at the hotel and restaurant attached.
Disliked: There was a shooting in the middle of the night, not at the hotel but not far away. Followed by screams. In the middle of the night. Food at the restaurant attached to the hotel was awful!
