Liked: comfortable room, able to select one in the quietist part of the hotel, good sleep!, plenty of parking, good facilities in the room , friendly staff, we tried the Bella Italia restaurant for the first time expecting ' chain' food but it was surprisingly good
Disliked: Although we could get eggs cooked fresh the breakfasts were left under heat lamps so was dried up - the three nights previously we had been in a hotel where they freshly cooked each breakfast, we noticed the difference !

Liked: I liked some of the staff but some other staff seemed quite dismissive and it appeared to be one of the managers. But most of the service staff were very kind and attentive.
Disliked: The corridors were quite noisy at night and the breakfast options while they tasted good but the variety was limited. The ac was not adequate.

Very good value for the...

Liked: The hotel is well located for visits to Dover castle and the town. Also very well placed for onward travel to the ferry or channel tunnel. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast and dinner was very good.
Disliked: I have no adverse comments about this hotel it was very good value.

Liked: Very pleased with facilities in the room, happy with size of bed, which was very comfortable. Evening meal well priced and very enjoyable, especially having room service.
Disliked: The set price for breakfast is overpriced for people that prefer a lighter breakfast.

Liked: The bed was hard as rock, very uncomfortable.
Disliked: The bed, very hard.

Pleasant

Liked: - Friendly staff- Free, hassle free parking- Quiet location- Good sized room
Disliked: - Sofa wasn't made before I arrived, had to ask for bedding.- Bedding had stains- There was a spider in our room- A bit old considering how much we paid

Basic but doable for two...

Liked: Large room and beautiful view of the castle. So much to do in Dover and it is steeped in history. Lots of places to eat right next to the hotel.
Disliked: I did ask for a room with a bath and arrived with bath bombs in hand but sadly the bath was a child size and whist great for little ones you could only sit upright in the bath as an adult. I also thought that parking was provided and we had to go out each morning to pau for another six hours parking. Not great if you want a bit of a lie in the morning. The TV in the room was extremely small given the size of the room . Also there was no free WIFI. Very basic and I did not feel that £145.00 for two nights was great value. Would definitely explore Dover again but would not stay here sadly.
