Liked: Close to everything, comfy and clean . Good breakfast
Disliked: About 02.30 am the fire alarms going off , half asleep trapped my finger in the door then stood outside for 15-20 minutes with my clothes on inside out or wrong way round

Derby city centre hotel

Liked: Room clean, pleasant and well laid out.
Disliked: Fire alarm and a unconscious customer collapsed on the floor showed the lack of overnight staff. No leadership or apparent first aiders present wasn't good. The layout of the reception on floor 4 was odd as we were up and down the lift a few times. It's an upside down layout in effect. Local parking is currently out of action too. Derbion main is though open a little further away.

Poor Management

Liked: Rooms were very nice and new looking very spacious and clean. Hotel and facilities very nice, barmen was new but very help full.
Disliked: Fire Alarm set off at 2.10am amd had to find for ourselves as Manager was to busy eating his pizza in the foyer to care about the safety and welfare of guests even had a Gentleman struggling down the stairs and did not help as hisnpizza would have gone cold. As the alarm stopped no staff came to say we could go back in or checking that everyone was safe. Then was very loud outside our door as someone had collapsed but was obnoxious with how he spoke to guests and person on the floor.

Nice, albeit noisy place near...

Liked: The room was nice and spacious, the staff was really friendly and the breakfast was affordable and varied.
Disliked: The hotel is located near a lively street and despite being on the third floor, I could hear the noise coming from the street. I couldn’t sleep til like 1am when the pubs and things finally calmed down.We also got woken up in the middle of the night by a fire alarm. The evacuation was well managed and this was of course not the hotel’s fault, but it was annoying nonetheless.

Wonderful hotel - must try...

Liked: I could not fault this trip from beginning to end. We went for my daughter’s birthday and the staff went over and above to make her feel special. They decorated the room especially and she was so, so excited and spent a lot of our trip playing with the balloons they put in our room. I would go to this place over and over again - the staff just make it. Can’t wait to come back - thank you
Disliked: Nothing - couldn’t fault it.
