Superb

Liked: A general feeling of grandeur sets the mood as you enter. My room was of generous proportions, with all that one could want.
Disliked: Everything was great except the shower. I am lead to believe that this old part of the building has plumbing issues, so that was the only spoiler.

Attended a wedding and staff...

Liked: The food there was excellent. The Beds were extremely comfortable.

Liked: The lobby was nice, staff were friendly.
Disliked: The cleanliness of the room we received. Now I’m not normally a complaining kind of person however I think if you’re paying £100 to stay in a room for one night, the room should at-least be clean. On entry the room smelt of faeces, not drainage it was almost like someone had recently used the bathroom however the smell was constant even when we arrived back from our evening out. There was a significant red/brown stain on the floor in which made me not walk around barefoot at all. This was all logged and reported to front desk. Also on waking in the morning I noticed what could only be described as nose mucus on the under sheet on the side of the bed.

Liked: Staff were really nice and it was a good location.
Disliked: We were told one the day of arrival for a non refundable booking that the Spa, pool and gym facilities (which we chose this hotel for over others) were closed for refurbishment. For that alone we almost left.Our first room had a horrible noise intermittently. Something about the air con not working. They changed it promptly.Other guests 2 rooms down were loud, obnoxious and unruly until well into the early hours. After being told 3 times, they continued to ignore the hotel staff and do as they pleased with complete disregard for other guests. They should be fined.We had to take matters into our own hands to get them to FINALLY shut up.

Liked: Sadly the gym and pool was under renovation and closed.We were NOT advised of this when booking !

Disliked: Have to pay full price for crazy golf, thought there would be a discount if you staying at the hotel.
