Holiday Inn Chicago - Schaumburg

Passable

Liked: The bed was comfortable. The breakfast at the restaurant the next morning was good. There was one guy doing everything but he was friendly and fast. Food was good. It’s a separate price from your room if you don’t pay for it while booking. Just fyi.
Disliked: The elevators both of them sounded horrible and shaky. We were on the 5th floor so we used them but they were definitely iffy rather or not was going to work all the way up or down. The lady at check in wasn’t the nicest. I think she could’ve been a lot nicer. Their pool and hot tub is not open. The hot tub has no water in it. The pool was full and looked like it was running but at check in the lady said it was closed and there was a sign on the pool door saying it was closed. So that was a little disappointing. A little odd thing. The shower is a walk in shower which was nice but it only had one door. So half the shower was completely open while shower. So was hard not to get the bathroom and stuff in the bathroom wet while showering. Not sure why it was like that.

Disliked: The fridge in one of our rooms didn't work and in the other room the a/c didn't work

Liked: Arrived. Checked in and we were not told that the pool and hot tub were broken. Which was on of the main reasons we booked this hotel. Also there we only washcloths In the bathroom. No actual towels to use after a shower.
