Liked: Great view, excellent breakfast
Disliked: No problems

Liked: It is in a good centralized area. Staff were friendly.
Disliked: The bathroom was run down (gaps in the flooring and floor boards, shower rod was hanging down, water pressure was too high). I asked numerous times for maintenance fix the shower rod, which didn't happen. The room wasn't cleaned, even after requesting it be done.

Great value comes with compromises

Liked: Great value, just across the bridge from downtown Charleston. There’s a shuttle that takes you to and from the city, which only takes 10 minutes, but the shuttle only runs every hour.
Disliked: The restaurant on the top floor needs a serious update.

Disliked: AC in room didn’t work. Beds extremely uncomfortable. Toilet didn’t work either. Called front desk multiple times and no answer. Went down to ask for help and no one came back up to the room. I took my kids and left early. Was supposed to stay two nights and left after the first night. Asked front desk upon checkout if they can assist with any money back and they said no and they wouldn’t check me out until my original check out date even though we left a whole day prior. Very disappointed and would not go back here again

Disliked: The building is in poor condition structurally. Our shower water drained onto the floor from underneath the bathtub. The rooms are too small for a family.

Old, bed bugs and deteriorating

Liked: Nothing. It’s old and the worst. Staff surprisingly lovely and feel bad for them to have to work there.
Disliked: It’s old, dingy and in desperate need of renovations. Our first attempt at check in to get into our room, the door was bolted locked. We couldn’t get in. We go back to front desk, they give us another room. We think it’s fine, use the toilet just to pee and it doesn’t flush, it almost overflows. So we go to call, phone has no dial tone so we take our things and go back to front desk again. Get a 3rd room…we pull the cover down and a bed bug is crawling all over the sheet! At that point 3 strikes and we were out! Got a refund and left. Manager understanding, but idk how anyone can stay here. AVOID at all cost, there’s plenty other hotels!
