Holiday Inn Cambridge

Pleasant stay.

Liked: It was spacious and good value for money. Easily walkable to the city centre. Walk back is mainly uphill so an uber was needed but that was fine. The breakfast was nice and offered a variety of continental breakfast choices
Disliked: The sink kept blocking and was not very clean and there was a funny smell. Most likely due to the blocked sink. However other than that issue it was clean.

Great hotel with fabulous staff

Liked: Customer service was exceptional. All staff incredibly helpful and welcoming. Bedrooms are a good size and the hotel feels nice and spacious. Pool steam jacuzzi gym - great. Would definitely stay here again if coming to Cambridge

Liked: Dinner, Breakfast and staff all very good.
Disliked: Bathroom very tired and scruffy - needs renovating. No EV charging - surprising for such a large hotel. Standard £10 charge for parking.

Disliked: Car parking isn’t free unless you are IHG member it cost £10 for 12 hrs. Over priced rooms no bottled water even £172 per night expected two bottles of water and some biscuits.

Liked: The location is great just off the A14
Disliked: The hotel rooms are shockingly poor, the carpets are so worn, the walls haven’t been repainted/touched up in a long time clearly. The en suite bathroom was absolutely disgusting both in functionality and cleanliness. I arrived at the hotel with a complaint case number for having been trying to book a table for dinner since the previous Sunday for us and another couple staying at the hotel. I spoke with 6 different people on 3 different days before I managed to get a table booked. When I arrived I followed up with this and we were given a free bottle of wine with our dinner. This barely scratched the service of what we should have been offered for the appalling experience we had. Furthermore the meal was average at best, really limp and wet calamari and we weren’t even offered desert! Our friends who also stayed there thought the same as us and were disgusted with their room and bathroom also.
