Holiday Inn Brighton Seafront

Acceptable

Liked: Great location on the seafront and near all the attractions without being so close as to be noisy at night. Room was clean and bathroom relatively new. Some nice touches like bathrobes, complementary water and coffee. Pleasant and helpful staff. Reasonable price. Perfectly acceptable for a couple of nights as long as you are not expecting luxury.
Disliked: For a Premium room it was rather small and the bathroom was also small. We had a view of the air-conditioning plant on the roof rather than the sea. If this was a Premium room, I am glad I did not book a standard. The lobby and communal parts are in need of a refresh, only one working lift. The lobby felt more like a railway station than hotel.

Disappointing

Disliked: Air conditioning is not working in our room, lifts broken, breakfast served in bar area, had to carry case from underground car park to reception because the lifts where not operation. All of these faults were not new. After reading reviews from customers, when I returned home, all these faults were well documented. But the hotel and your company didn't share this information with your clients. Speak to people working at the hotel it as a reputation as being Faults Towers?

Great value, big rooms, comfy...

Liked: Size of room, comfortable beds, location.
Disliked: Air con didn’t work. Saw lots of reviews about this so we didn’t bother to mention it to staff until we checked out (and we figured it wouldn’t be able to get fixed during our stay.) A fan was put in the room so we thought staff must know the aircon wasn’t working anyway.
