Liked: Very clean accommodation; excellent breakfast buffet; very comfortable.

Catherine, Narragansett, RI, visiting House of Blues Boston Mon, 17 March 2014

The employees at the restaurant and the reception desk were very polite, helpful, and respectful.

Liked: Very clean; liked the furniture and spaciousness of the room.
Disliked: The room was right above the kitchen, so it shook when they were doing laundry. Pillows were too puffy!

Front desk were very friendly and helpful. They gave us a free upgrade to a suite which was awesome and the location is great. We went to a show at the Paradise which is on Comm Ave and was only a 10 minute walk away. I will definitely stay there again and you can catch the Green Line Trains right across the street.

Liked: Great staff; very clean.

Liked: Location.
Disliked: The room is dirty smelly and dusty. The hotel pictures looks great but in real it look totally different, the room is dark and smell bad , full of dust everywhere on the side table, tv and the floor. I would say it will be my last time to book this hotel.

Not what I would expect...

Liked: The location.
Disliked: A large part of this hotel is a 1950s ex-motel. The courtyard/car parking space has been roofed over and many of the rooms look out on to this and get no daylight. The restaurant is in this gloomy so-called atrium and has zero atmosphere. I don't know what the food is like because I couldn't bear to eat there.

Avoiding this hotel as much...

Liked: The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful.
Disliked: Our first room was leaking from the ceiling onto the the bathroom floor. The second room was kept in poor condition. The bathroom was not clean. Towels, coffee supplies, etc were not replenished every day. Outrageous price for what we got.

Liked: Fast, consistent internet. Plenty of plugs for electronics. Responsive to complaints, even if they didn't fix things. They did give us discounts for our troubles but I would rather have had a problem free stay. T-line right outside door. Dunking Donuts 3 blocks away. About a miles walk to Museum of Fine Art, Stewart Gardner Museum and Fenway Park. Felt like a safe location.
Disliked: The air conditioning would get to set temperature then shut off. We'd report it, they'd restart it. Repeat. Except when it would shut off when we were in bed. Then we had to live with it hot until morning. Also, the toilet took a lot of babying to flush but it would eventually. And in spite of daily requests the remote control wouldn't work and we would have to change everything at the TV. Everything else was a little worn but comfortable.

Conveinient location, but I would...

Liked: Convenient location, and the staff was accommodating, but that's about it.
Disliked: Overall the facilities were run down and grungy. A rain storm revealed leaks throughout the building. Our initial room was dark and musty, paint peeling from the ceiling, bathroom with unfinished sheet rock, and a faulty AC. Staff was good about moving us to a new room, which was better, but still grungy and somewhat run down. Lots of incidental problems as well; broken TV remote, no ice bucket, poor wi-fi, non working vent fan in bathroom, no chairs in the room, constant moldy smell due to lack of ventilation, etc.

Poor - 1.45 out of 5

Very poor

Liked: Nothing. This place should be pulled down. The building leaked and smelt very funky. It was a drive away from anything and the overnight car park cost an additional $37.
Disliked: There was no external window In our room. The room smelt of damp, the bed felt unclean. The carpet in our room and main hotel was filthy. I knew it had poor reviews but it was a lot worse than I thought it would be. We were very glad to only have one night here.

Liked: Excellent location, could walk to Fenway Parks and local bars. Front desk guy was friendly and competent.
Disliked: No windows in room. Not a big deal but we didn?t expect that.
