Holiday Inn Boston - Cambridge Area by IHG

Very poor

Liked: Location was good. Very near Sullivans Square so can get a lot of buses / trains etc.
Disliked: -mouse at breakfast on our second day. Reported to staff 3 times. On the second time they told us to report it to booking.com as we had paid through the app. No apology given or that it was unacceptable etc.-beds/ rooms were not tidied daily. We had rubbish in our rooms that was not taken out until we asked the cleaning staff and it seemed to be an inconvenience for them. They also did not dress the beds.-some of the “clean” towels had stains on them.

Why extra fees?

Liked: Nice hotel, not far from the center.
Disliked: I have to pay a fee, 50usd per day..Booking does not say that...it us not correct. The hotel charged that money witouht saying nothing in advannce, and they only return after the checkout...they day 2 or 3 bussiness days after. I left the hotel today, and now i have to wait for the refund , i hope everething goes well. How can i plan my trip if there is this unpleseant surprises.....

Exceptional

Bad, never again.

Disliked: Receptionist while checking in, she was really unwelcoming and almost given no information at all just gave the key. Bathroom was not clean at all, avoided to have a shower, there was some hair sticked on the mirror. There was some stains within the toilet and on its cover. Tv wasn't working, hvac was giving a terrible odor. Paid breakfast was so limited and you have to ask even for juice or water, they werent placed on the buffet. Unfortunately, the server was unwelcoming too.

Bad

Liked: The hotel caught fire and we had to be evacuated in a haste and without proper planning. I was made to stand in the biting cold and the hotel did not even offer me any compensation. In fact the hotel has not yet refunded my deposit till date.

Poor

Disliked: The refrigerator had an awful smell which covered the room when it was opened we couldn’t put our food in it or drinks because of that.

Superb

It was nice I would...

Liked: Clean, spacious, comfortable, great staff, good food.
Disliked: The room was cold and only started to warm up at checkout the next day, and the hot water took forever... I had to run it for 5 min before I could get in the shower...

Good

Liked: I liked the ease of where we stay given who only needed it for the night for NYE and only had less than 10 min drive to the casino. The room was a LOT bigger than what we were expecting.
Disliked: It was kind of run down but that was expected for the price.
