Excellent stay ot the Holiday...

Liked: Excellent location for our visit, friendly and helpful staff, great bar and seating area in which to relax. The pool looked good although we didn't have time to take advantage of the facility.
Disliked: The air conditioning in the room was struggling to produce any cooling air, not surprising as it was in the high 29 degrees through the night.

Disliked: In 30° you need air-conditioning. We stayed last month and the room had air-conditioning it was lovely, but not this time, it was very hard to sleep

Glad I'm home

Liked: I had booked a twin room but when we got there we got a double. I asked for a twin they said they didn't have any and that although I always choose 2 single beds on booking.com it came up as as a standard room. My husband is disabled and was attending a long training weekend. I try not to book accessibility rooms unless absolutely necessary so I asked reception if they had an accessible room as my husband has a registered disabled card but was told they only had one in a hotel that size I thought was appalling! I also asked if they had a room with an extra put up bed or any solution but computer said no... when my husband went to reception to try and explain our situation the receptionist became very defensive and argumentive and even accused my husband of accusing her of being a liar! Which was necessary and wholly unprofessional. My husband asked if she was the duty manager. She just said no. Didn't offer to speak to duty manger. We then ate in the bar area. We waited 45 mins for food then a member of staff said they had lost the order... a computer glich! We were tired and had to be up very early for my husbands course Saturday morning so just ate the freezer ping food and went to room. I ended up buying an airbed so my husband could get a good night's sleep and slept on the floor! I went to the "spa" on Saturday. The area is old and tired and needs a serious refurbishment. The jacuzzi was closed. Won't go there again which is shame as I am a holiday inn member and stay at IHG hotels all the time

Good location and food nice....

Liked: Good location as we were going to Worcester the next day. Excellent shower. Food was nice at dinner.
Disliked: Worst Holiday Inn I’ve been to. Reception staff arguing that I hadn’t paid in advance when I had email proof. Air con didn’t work, and weather was really warm. Bed really hard. At dinner I asked for the bill but only presented with iPad to pay, not able to see if being charged was right or not. Coffee wasn’t great at breakfast.
