A Cozy Airport Retreat Worth...

Liked: Holiday Inn Auckland Airport by IHG is a hidden gem that completely surprised us. Unlike typical airport hotels, it feels more like a cozy resort surrounded by lush greenery, making it a perfect retreat after a long flight. The location is super convenient—just minutes from the airport, with easy access to the Yellow Bus for transfers if needed. Parking close to our room was a huge plus, especially when juggling luggage and kids. The on-site restaurant impressed us too; the pizza and quick room service were definite highlights. We came back and stayed again on our return trip, and honestly, we’ll definitely be coming again in the future! While it’s a bit of a drive to Auckland’s city center, this hotel is ideal for airport layovers or a peaceful escape on the outskirts. With its top-notch service, great food, and relaxing atmosphere, it’s a spot we’ll happily return to.

Liked: Staff were helpful and the hotel breakfast was nice and the hotel is close and easily accessible to the airport by the yellow bus. It has a nice holiday vibe.
Disliked: Our first allocated room had a strange stench though our room was changed as soon as the staff realised the smell. Also our room was so far away from reception maybe it had just been closed for months and that is why it smelled strange.

Liked: Dated hotel which could do with an upgrade. Bed was pretty comfortable. Breakfast was okay but wouldn’t recommend. Staff were reasonably friendly
