Liked: We really liked this lodge. It's well equipped and lots a little thoughtful touches. The log burner is lovely too. It was a comfortable size for my partner and I. Everything was there that we needed.
Disliked: It's near to the road and there's bit of road noise even with the windows closed.

Great little Gem.

Liked: Myself, my partner and my step daughter booked this little gem because we wanted something away from the hustle and bustle but not to far away from plenty of options being the beach, history and castle's coastal walks and views, and I must say a great place to stay indeed. A nice, quaint comfortable well built little hideaway. The owners Mike and Dawn were a great couple, lovely to talk to and was great to hear about their journey of how they created such an enviable way of life and an amazing place to be. I had read reviews before and after staying at the lodge and 99 percent are all of great experience and the negative ones regarding traffic or anything else???!!!! Well all I can say is we loved it down there and didn't want to come home!!! Mike even popped in on our last day as we were packing before he left for work to wish us well and what more could you wish for.??? Total credit to this place and Mike and Dawn for making this little break an amazing experience, one me and my family will always remember. Thanks Mike and Dawn, we will be back again we promise. Take care of yourselves.
Disliked: There were no aspects of the mini break that I didn't enjoy.

Liked: It was a perfect relaxing 4 day break. The lodge is small and very cozy with a great log burner. It had everything I needed. The owners are lovely people and very helpful and friendly 😊🥰.
Disliked: It is very close to the main road, so it is a bit noisy from the traffic.

Liked: Owners were very friendly and helpful, the property was very clean and well stocked with utensils and extras the owners had provided for example bacon and eggs , milk , biscuits , sweets etc
Disliked: It had a few too many items around in the lounge, that cluttered it a bit and made it awkward to move around

Great stay but wouldn’t go...

Liked: Clean and very well equipped , cosy little cottage
Disliked: Too small for 3 individuals who requires 3 separate beds

So awful we checked out...

Liked: Unfortunately there was nothing to like.
Disliked: An undersized handyman-built hut cluttered with oddities, an old JVC boombox, Transport for London signs, extra charge threats, and cushions in an attempt to make it look homely thereby using up nearly all available space. Second bedroom had a child-sized single bed against a wall on each side with a small opening to get in and out. Holey Moley Hut is on the A477 the main truck route in and out of Pembrokeshire so has 24/7 traffic noise. To reach the hut you have to reverse down a narrow drive, otherwise it is too difficult to get back out again, and the owners park their own vehicle in the hut's parking space. Bring your own toilet paper as the owners don't supply it. I could go on but you get the idea. Unsuitable for paying customers. This is the kind of property that gives homestay a bad reputation. There are plenty of better options in the area.
