pleasant nice room when upgraded...

Liked: upgraded for an extra 85 room was well priced above market value but windows didn’t open, staff were lovely especially reception and shannon on the bar but over priced and poor food service over an hr between courses
Disliked: see aboverestaurant staff i particular one but done want to get her in trouble, we’re rude from start to finish made an expensive meal even more distasteful thanks fully the bar staff more than made up but for over 350 foe a room then 140on drinks and dinner the pics make it look grander than it is some staff and the paid upgrade were great but staff pricing let it down

Exceptional

Liked: Just stayed for the Saturday night as we was attending a gig at Piece Hall . We thought the staff was excellent a friendly welcome . We had one of the suites and was impressed with how comfortable it was . Breakfast was so lovely with a good selection to choose from . Loved the full English especially the home made black pudding

Liked: Charming, characterful hotel, stayed in a lovely suite with a very comfy bed. Close to the Piece Hall (we were attending a concert) bar was open late on our return. Wife had breakfast and enjoyed it. Excellent

Good hotel overall and it...

Liked: Good location, both breakfast and dinner where of good quality.
Disliked: The staff (breakfast) where not very friendly they look busy (which is fine) but the greeting and the genuine touch of service was missing.

Disappointing sadly and did not...

Liked: Absolutely beautiful quirky building and stunning garden. It was a two day birthday treat for my daughter. The breakfast was excellent and dinner good.
Disliked: Overpriced and rather disappointing sadly. The room was much smaler then expected and the sofa bed took up the whole space in the main area which meant no where to sit. The sofa bed was not comfortable after such a long drive. Some of the staff were lovely but others were grumpy and seemed inexperienced.
