Beautiful, calm haven

Liked: Room was beautiful, lots of space in room and huge bathroom. Well decorated and super comfortable.Breakfast had a very good choice.Very responsive and pleasant staff.
Disliked: Room door needs fixing, as you have to slam it.Tablet to contact Reception or Room Service wasn't working when I got to the room; the staff fixed it for me straight away.

Average experience , and a...

Liked: Room great
Disliked: Laundry storage right outside room - how very badly planned. Awakened on Sunday morning by this. There were so many details that were missing from this being a great property and hotel experience. Staff and kitchen not quite on it. Too much focus on weddings and events. I would have returned if it were not for these things. Pity

Great location, comfortable bedrooms and...

Liked: Room was clean, modern and comfortable. Great place for a conference...but not in the summer! Stiflingly hot and no air-conditioning or fans in the large room we spent the day & evening in. Grounds were beautiful.
Disliked: Catering i felt was poor, I appreciate you were catering for a lunch and evening for around 120 people, but the cakes melted, salads wilted, BBQ food cold.Sadly, individually cooked breakfasts were not great either... bacon was fatty and undercooked, with lots of grease on the plate, and the friend egg was hard. The eggs benedict - poached eggs cold and hard and the muffin stale.It was very hot with no air-con in the marquee/meeting room, very uncomfortable for a summer conference gathering.

Overall, underwhelming

Liked: Breakfast was nice + comfortable bed.
Disliked: The bathroom light flickered, and bathtub didn't drain properly when showering. Had a view of the carpark.

Very civilised.

Liked: That a problem was resolved. The Gardens and the location.
Disliked: I was given a room which was too hot because the radiator was full on, during hot weather. The radiator would not turn off, apparently. Why is it left to me to discover ? I was offered an alternative room, which turned out to be already occupied. Then there was intervention from a more senior level, and I was given a very nice room, which was cool enough to sleep in, and which had air conditioning. So in the end, the problem was resolved.
