Great location and friendly staff

Absolutely perfect!

Liked: Uniqueness and comfort of the room. Much attention to detail. Beautiful, historical building. Location is perfect and walkable to everything.

Superb

Liked: Comfortable, breakfast good, parking is hit and miss but we got a spot on the property.Location okay.
Disliked: We stayed in a Premium Queen in the house (annex) at the rear of the main house. We had a ground floor room number 402 and was right next to the main entrance door and heard everybody coming and going as well as the noisy floorboards above our bed on the first floor who rose before 7am each morning.Good hotel overall withe great patios and gardens. Would stay there again but not in that room.

Pleasant

Liked: The convenience of the location
Disliked: It was the location I was after . Close to the university. The carpets needed to be cleaned . The toilet paper was hard. No umbrellas to borrow. No storage for a bag / luggage for the day of checkout. I would only recommend this Inn for one night and if you needed it for convenience near the university .

Charming inn near the town...

Liked: Very charming Inn. Friendly personnel, loved the breakfast and good beds. I’m a Walibi gaan distance of the town center.
Disliked: Bathrooms are outdated and airco was efficient but not integrated in the building (separate unit in the room)

Very nice hotel with friendly...

Liked: Beautiful property, very clean, light and airy and perfect for a nice walk to the waterfront and into town with the added bonus of having on site parking.
Disliked: Not applicable as we liked the property

Great location in a lovely...

Liked: The location is excellent and the architecture of the building is lovely. As it is an historic manor house, there is no elevator but definitely gives you a workout! The staff were polite and friendly. As our room was on the third floor, the views from our windows were good.
Disliked: The private bathroom facilities in our suite were small and the shower head could stand to be updated. The suites in the manor house have A/C units but the hallways and dining room do not, so on very hot days these areas can be a bit stuffy.

Good value of money

Liked: Location is perfect, there is a big parking lot just across the road if hotel parking is busy. Good breakfast, comfortable bed.
Disliked: The bath tube was dirty

Overrated

Liked: Nice house.
Disliked: The facilities are old, dated. The queen bed was only 140cm (queens are defined as 152 to 180cm) and uncomfortable. On arrival the lady at the rception could not manage a smile or hello (same at breakfast) - handed us the instruction in an envelope instead of explaining. The toilet was leaking water, there was rust on the shower curtain rack, 21 rooms but only 9 parking spaces, 21 rooms and only 1 toaster at breakfast (a slow 2 slice home version, not a professional hotel version), any cooked breakfast costs extra, no housekeeping “as a feature” - overall the service and comfort of a 25 dollar roadside motel in a nicer building and at 10x the price. Not recommended - many cheaper and better options around. Avoid.
