Hobart Central YHA

Great staff, great location, pleasant...

Liked: Staff were very friendly and helpful and instructions on how to enter the property for a late arrival were easy to follow. The facilities are fairly basic but totally serviceable and clean, e.g. there’s a decent kitchen to prepare meals, but it’s not a place you’d hang out. Bathrooms are good and there are small lockable (BYO small padlock) drawers under the beds.
Disliked: Everything was fine for a couple of nights. If I was staying longer I’d want a bit more space in the dorm room (big bags or suitcases wouldn’t fit in the lockers and there’s not much floor space so if it was full it would be a bit tight) and a place to sit and chat or use laptop in the evening (kitchen has very limited sitting space and lounge is nice for movie watching but if there’s a film on there’s nowhere else to go.

Liked: This was my second time staying at the YHA in Hobart. Its convenience, location and overall value for money makes it the perfect accomodation for a short term stay.
