Fine for one night stay

Liked: We only stayed a night in a private room. It was comfortable enough and had its own clean bathroom but it didn't have any windows. It is in a basement so it is a bit musty smelling throughout. The staff was kind and the bed was comfortable but everything seemed a little old and outdated.
Disliked: The smell and no windows in the rooms. The area was a tad sketchy too.

Liked: As described, good value & convenient.There was a (loud!) private function nearby until early morning hours, but the man on reception apologized and brought earplugs, which was thoughtful.Backpacker+ style, fine for 1-2 nights, well-equipped

Good relation proce-quality in Auckland's...

Liked: Cozy place with lovely staff in good location not far away from sky tower. Kitchen, bedrooms and common areas are quiet comfy.
Disliked: It get's a bit noisy on the rooms during the afternoons due to the shop next door. Also gets noisy weekends nights due to the location on the pub's road of town.

Good location but dark and...

Liked: Staff is extremely helpful and kind, WiFi connection is exceptional. Bathroom was clean.
Disliked: The hostel is mostly underground which is not obvious from the description, we felt like in a prison. The lights were very bright and cold, having them off was not an option due to the lack of windows, having them on was hurtful for the eyes. Would have been nice to have a bedside table at least. Bedsheets were a bit dirty as well. Kitchen was very messy, not a lot of utensils and place to sit. Despite being underground the ventilation worked efficiently but very loudly.
