Liked: Just perfect in every aspect.... tranquility, location, ambience.

Beautiful historic hotel worth visiting...

Liked: Beautiful historic property right next to historic fortification. Great surroundings. 2 minutes walking to old center with good restaurants. Very romantic setting ideal for couple holiday or honeymoon. Castle is right next to the hotel.
Disliked: Everything was excellent except the last night when a wedding party was taking place in the hotel. Which is fine and understandable in such type of venue, but it seems like the hotel is not even trying to keep the guests at least a bit comfortable. The windows are very old and you are literally feeling like you are trying to sleep in the middle of the dance floor. There is absolutely no difference if you keep the windows open. If they know wedding parties are something thay are regularly hosting, they should take measures to soundproof the rooms. Or at least offer ear buds to the guests. We had them packed (as we always do). It was still crazy uncomfortable but without them we would probably loose our minds. The last night was a total waste for us thogh as we fell asleep after one in the morning and had to get up at four due to early departure.

Comfortable but an awful breakfast.

Liked: Well located. Clean. The town is beautiful.
Disliked: None of the spa facilities were open when we were there. We couldn’t use the convent (main hotel) facilities from 1pm on Saturday and there was effectively nowhere else to go to relax within the hotel complex. This was inconvenient given that i was accompanied by an octogenarian. Breakfast was awful.

Luxurious hotel and views to...

Liked: This was the most beautiful location. We stayed in the citadel which was magical. The hotel was fabulous too. Modern rooms, interesting showers that spoke to you (in Italian!). Loads of places to eat as well as the hotel itself, and the views from the hotel terrace were spectacular.
Disliked: We were in one of the attic rooms and the remote for the blinds was difficult to decipher.

Amazing stay

Liked: Breakfast was great! The sunset was amazing in the castle.
Disliked: Room was a little stuffy but opened the windows and it was loud from the trash truck in the morning.

FABULOUS ALL AROUND!

Liked: This property was AMAZING FROM TOP TO BOTTOM! We thoroughly enjoyed our room, had dinner at the restaurant…sensational, and the parking was great. Then we had a SPECTACULAR breakfast for a King and Queen. Couldn’t have been better!!!
Disliked: Nothing.

Exceptional

Beautiful stay in a medieval...

Liked: The property is very well kept in Gradara Castle, a former convent, beautiful views of the sea, amazing sunsets! All linens are newer, very good breakfast.
