Historic Plaza Hotel

I enjoyed my time at...

Liked: The historic nature of the hotel takes you back in time. The location across from the plaza is excellent.
Disliked: We had a King bed but only one chair for the table in the room. Our room had no view as we looked into a wall and other rooms.

Passable

Liked: It was unique and has a lot of history.
Disliked: You have got to get the third floor or you just listen to creeks the entire time. You can hear every step everyone takes.

Disliked: The lobby is a bit odd,The restaurant had recently changed hands so no beer or wine

Poor

Disliked: Only had one key for the room. Promised to bring a second key which they didn’t after several calls only to find out later the maintenance people who make keys had left for the day 4 hours after we checked in and never made the key. We weren’t told that until after I called a 4th time. My 77 year old wife was stranded in the room all night because I was performing that evening until 1 AM. Also, the nice bar area and coffee shop that were the main reasons we booked there were permanently closed and had been closed before we booked and we were never told. The toilet did not flush properly and when we reported that to the desk we were thanked because they think it’s important to fix things. We were there 6 months prior in the same room and reported it then. Same problem. We will not be returning.

Lovely hotel with history

Liked: Amazing hotel. Clean, beautiful. Due to some fortunate circumstances we got an upgrade and stayed in Tommy Lee Jones old room - very cool! Walked around and read all the interesting stories about guests from the past. Breakfast (not complimentary) in the restaurant downstairs was really tasty.
Disliked: Wifi was quite weak.

Liked: We love this property and location. I was traveling to visit family. I love the history of the hotel. The restaurant in the hotel is excellent.
Disliked: I was disappointed in the room - it felt more like an after thought than one of their historical rooms. If we stay here again, I am going to call in the reservation to get a good room. I stayed there before with my husband and we had a great room.

Liked: Historic hotel was period represented and gave many insights around the halls. Books were everywhere and parking was easy.
Disliked: Information in the room regarding what to do or where to eat would have been nice.
