Hipotel Paris Gare du Nord Merryl

Decent hotel, just not in...

Liked: Good reception area and friendly staff, lovely room, really comfy beds, good shower and bathroom, all really clean and tidy. We even had little Easter eggs given to us! I thought that a nice touch!
Disliked: As a single mum, with a 10 year old daughter, I was a little bit uncomfortable in the nearby streets where there seemed to be a lot of men hanging around and slightly pushy young men trying to sell rip-off cigarettes around the La Chapelle métro. (Daughter thought toilet was a bit whiffy, mind)

Cheap and close to Transport

Liked: Hotel was close to metro which you could hop on and get to any of main places in Paris. Very close to main station to get easy to the airport. Room size was nice as I spent most time out and about and was cleanish room and staff were friendly enough.But it’s all you really need bed and bathroom.
Disliked: Wish they had a little folder for any quarries how to use telly or information on the area for tourist would be great help like in most hotels.The area isn’t the most friendliest but someone always on the door to let people in and out which felt a bit more safer.

Liked: Location 2mins to metro station. Walking distance to Gare du Nord. Staff helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: Room was small but fine for our needs.

Liked: it was clean comfortable
Disliked: the breakfast was very limited to what you can have the area of the hotel wasn't good didn't feel safe walking around I asked for instructions for the safety deposit box as we couldn't get it to lock went to the reception for advise promised to sort it never sorted it

Liked: The pictures are not close to reality in any way, the space is very very very small as if you are in a chicken coop, the only nice thing is the staff’s treatment

Liked: Location was great and the staff were extremely helpful, great price.
Disliked: The room was smaller than expected and at times guests could be heard quite loudly through the walls.
