Art exhibition space converted to...
Liked: The property is in a good location; close to the train, grocery stores, cafes, restaurants and bars. The space is large so a family of 4 adults was comfortable. There are about 10 stairs to go down to get to the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. The WI-FI was fast and reliable. The beds were good.
Disliked: This property is not a hotel. It looks like a basement art exhibition space that was converted into accommodation. The 2 biggest negatives for us were: (1) all lights have to be turned on and off at the main switch box. There are no light switches in rooms. I would think that this is illegal and would not meet safety standards. In Australia, this would never get approval. (2) The main bathroom is just 1 large space with a concrete floor. Once you finish showering, you have to use a mop/squeegee to clean the water from the floor. The second bathroom is so small it is useless in functionality. The last point is not a negative but I think people should be aware is that the art work displayed is quite sexualized and very large (paintings and sculptures). A family with young children may wish to stay somewhere else.

Subterranean airbnb falsely marketed as...
Liked: Convenient location
Disliked: This is not a hotel. It is a cellar converted into a single unit - effectively an airbnb that is dodging local regulations. The "showers" consist of spigots above the floor and an industrial squeegee to push water to the drain (no doors or curtains). Only one corner of the unit has a light switch; guests are otherwise obliged to flip circuit breakers. Mildewed clothing was in the washing machine and expired food products in the kitchenette. Airflow in the sleeping areas is nonexistent since the unit is subterranean (ie no windows) and there are no vents. One could go on.Unfortunately, there is no way to safely file a complaint in real time because the owner retains a key and can access the unit - including sleeping quarters - at any time. I was travelling with a small child during a high-tourist time (i.e., the city was sold out) so we had no options despite the immediate realization we had been scammed. I am still working with the Munich police to secure recourse.

Pleasant
Liked: - size- nice person and flexible when we were arriving
Disliked: - functionality (in order to turn off the lights, you had to use the the main fuse box, shower without any curtains, …)- bedroom was more like a dungeon- Beamer and sound system, all nice but not really functional- …After all, I would not rent again.

Apartment in Munich near Sendlinger Tor station
Liked: Good location near Sendlinger Tor stop, but away from busy streets. In the apartment you can find everything you might need for a longer stay. For me the bed was comfy, my buddies were harder to please. The apartment has a projector and you can watch movies from various streaming services, which was great for staying in after a long day. A little bit dark in the basement, but really warm with the heated floors. All in all, great place to stay in Munich.
Disliked: Nothing. Just what we found interesting was that the light switches for the apartment were all in one place.
